Shun Fujikawa Custom Knives Blacklip Tahitian Pearl Makie Lockback
This art knife was made by master knife maker Shun Fujikawa from Japan. It features the nicest Blacklip Pearl shell scales I have ever seen. I have been waiting almost 3 years for this knife. It features 24Kt Gold Makie designs of traditional Japanese patterns. Makie stands for "sprinkled picture" the process dates back over a thousand years ago. The technique is accomplished by layering pure Gold and pure silver with urushi lacquer. This process is repeated many times until the image has a gorgeous delicate three-dimensional impression.
Shun Fujikawa's knives have been featured in Knives Points of Interest books. He only attends one US knife show a year. Do not miss out on the opportunity to add this lovely custom knife to your collection.
