This knife was made by Paul Poehlmann. It is quite rare for Paul made fewer than 200 custom knives.
Paul Poehlmann holds over forty utility patents and numerous design patents. Of which 20 of these patents are for folding knife mechanisms. He gained notoriety for inventing the Axial Locking Mechanism which was then made famous by the Gerber knife company.
Paul built a series of hand-made custom knives using this mechanism in 1974, totaling approximately 150 Paul® Knives. These hand-made Paul® Knives are very rare and highly sought after by collectors.
The engraving was don by Master Engraver Ron Skaggs. It features built up and sculpted 24Kt Gold.
