Michael Walker Custom Knives 2009 AKI “Eye of Horus” Assisted Opening Round Button Lock
This Round Button Lock was made by knife making legend Michael Walker for the 2009 AKI (Art Knife Invitational). It features a Damasteel Damascus Blade and Fluted Anodized Titanium frames which have 24Kt Gold inlays and design embellishments.
Michael Walker's knives are among the most sought after in the custom knife world. Recently one of his knives sold for $54,000. What makes this knife so unique is that it is an assisted opening Round Button lock mechanism. When you press the button lock the blade flies effortless open 1/4" of the way to expose the blade.
To close the knife, simply press the button lock and close the blade with your hand. You will hear a pleasant "click" as it is seated back into its closed position. Michael Walker is a master of unique locking mechanisms and this knife is one of his newest creations. No true custom collection is complete without having a Michael Walker knife in it.
