Joseph Rodgers Sheffield Exhibition Knife 6 Blade Plus Tooth Pick and Tweezers Antique Elphant Ivory Slip Joint
This knife was made shortly after 1893 when England put into law that any item for export had to be marked with its country of Origin and is featured on page 212 of "Sheffield Exhibition Knives".
It is a fine example of Joseph Rodgers multi-bladed sports knife with master sheepfoot blade, a saw blade, a pen blade, a corkscrew, a gimlet (awl), and a three-square leather borer. This knife has fine elephant ivory scales with an oval nickel silver shield.
The slide out tools are a toothpick and tweezers. The nickel silver top bolsters are set on the narrowed neck; the knife has brass liners and a large nickle silver bail on the bottom.
This knife is in unused and uncarried. For its age, it is consider to be in exceptional condition.
