During his career Jim had made less than 300 knives in all (the number is believed to be closer to 225 knives which he made).
This knife was made by Jim Schmidt and is signed along the inside of the knife's liner SCHMIDT 7/22/85 #70 "PISWHISTLER". It features his sole authorship Damascus Blade and Bolsters. Jim used some of the finest fossilized walrus ivory I have seen on this incredible knife.
