Jim Schmidt Custom Knife Sole Authorship Damascus & Crown Stag Lockback Folder Signed (Schmidt 7/1/81 “Grendell” #24)
Knives which were made by Master Smith James Schmidt are among the most desirable knives in the custom knife world.
During his career Jim had made less than 300 knives in all (the number is believed to be closer to 225 knives which he made).
This is a fine example of an early Crown Stag "Goblin" Schmidt folder. It is signed along the inside of the knife's liner "Schmidt 7/1/81 "Grendell" #24".
It features Jim's hand forged Damascus blade and bolsters. Jim Schmidt is considered "The Great Master" and was a "legend" in the custom knife world. His knives are among the most collectible worldwide.
Here is a rare opportunity to own a work by "The Great Master" James Schmidt.
