H.H. Frank Custom Knife 14Kt Gold Caper
This knife is known as the Mini Caper. It's liners and bolsters are 14Kt gold. The scales are of aged elephant ivory held to the liners with 14Kt gold pins. There are two oval 14Kt inlays in the ivory also held with 14Kt gold pins. A 14Kt gold toothpick is in the end of the handle.
The gold bolsters are engraved in relief in a Oak leaf- acorn pattern. The blade has a 24Kt gold line inlaid along each side. The engraving of the blade depicts squirrels with acorns. There is a triangualr shaped inlay of 24Kt gold in the top of the blade, front and rear of the locklever- top and bottom of spring.
H. H. Frank has applied a "French Grey" finish to the blade to show off the engraving and the gold also to help prevent rust. The entire knife has been made by hand.
