Berite Rietveld Custom Knives Carved and Colored Dragonskin Damascus “Makiti” Folder

This "Makiti" folder is made by South African knife maker Bertie Reitveld. This unique locking design "Bolster Tilt Mechanism" was awarded "Most Innovative Knife" at the Knifemakers Guild (USA) Show in August 2005. The blade steel is "Dragon Skin" Damascus forged and carved by Bertie Rietveld. The bolsters are "Elephant Skin" textured bronze. Beautiful creamy caramel Mammoth Ivory adorns the scales. Bertie Rietveld signs his knives in a unique way, look through the Stanhope lens to view his signature. A very interesting knife which is waiting to become a part of a lucky collectors collection.
