Bob Loveless Custom Knife Early Riverside Football Logo Black Micarta Wilderness
This Wilderness knife was made by Bob Loveless in 1992. What makes it so rare is that the guard is stainless steel and it has solder joints. Very few knives were made in the Bob Loveless shop where the guard was stainless steel and solder was used. ÂÂ
Typically guards that were soldered were Nickle Silver. Jim Merrit and Bob Loveless developed a press fit which made soldering the joints unnecessary and this what you see typically see with stainless steel guards.
Also if you study the sheath, it is a square bottom and has double stitching on the presentation side of the sheath and has single stitching on the reverse side of the sheath. This too is quite rare.
