Tony Bose Custom Knife Single Blade 3 1/2″ Trapper with Fibermascus Scales
The Boses built several knives with this material, mostly fixed blades and shadow patterns by Reese. Tony Bose made two. One, a knife identical to this with the exception of no shield and no front bolsters - rather plain looking, too much orange. It resides in a private collection and will remain there.
This is the other. The knife with the addition of the shield and rear bolsters takes on a strangely elegant appearance with the extra stainless contrasting with the bright orange handles. It absolutely glows in direct sunlight, yet in the dim light of evening appears almost dark red. The blade is ground from D-2 steel, Tony's favorite, and belt finished. Arguably the most difficult Bose knife to loose, and at the same time being the most difficult to find.
