Wolfgang and his family moved to Canada at a young
age. He started to make knives in 1980. Wolfgang is
the founder of Canadian Knifemakers Guild and was
president for the first 5 years. Wolfgang Loerchner has
earned a worldwide reputation as one of the legendary
custom knife artists.


Wolfgang Loerchner is a member of the AKI "Art Knife Invitational. The AKI is a group of 25 of the most respected and talented knifemakers in the world. They have an elite custom knife show every 2 years. It is a showcase which allows collectors and dealers the extremely rare opportunity to purchase knives from such a sought after makers.


He stopped taking orders for knives more than 8 years ago. I have been waiting over 9 years for a knife by Wolfgang Loerchner. He is a living legend in the custom knife world and a member of the knifemakers hall of fame.
