Vernie Reed's Custom knife: Mother of Pearl and 24KT Gold Braided Wire Automatic Linerlock with Robert Eggerling Damascus .
This custom knife is an excellent example of
Vernie Reed's work.
He used Robert Eggerling "Mosaic" Damascus for the bolsters and blade. Bruce Shaw engraved the 6 14kt gold inserts along the back bar and has inlaid the gold into the bolsters.
Vernie Reed used some of the nicest Mother of Pearl that I've seen for the scales. He finished the knife with braided 22 kt gold wire which he has inlayed between the Mother of Pearl.
